
Carol Ormand, Headteacher of Gartconner Primary School, has been using the Storyline approach, created at Jordanhill College of Education, for the last 30 years. Gartconner Primary decided to use this approach across the school as a way of addressing curriculum flexibility and curriculum development in response to Curriculum for Excellence. The school has been supported in this development by the local authority and has been asked to disseminate the approach across the authority. Using the Storyline approach has helped Gartconner develop as a ‘learning school and nursery’.
